Hermann Löhr ... rediscovered

Phillip Sear plays piano music (often arrangements of orchestral originals) by the British composer Hermann Löhr (1871-1943). Löhr was a Plymouth, UK native, who had Australian connections, and a cousin, Marie, who was a famous actress. He was the son of Frederic Nicholls Löhr, who was also a composer (I have included in the playlist Frederic's Cradle Song, dedicated to Hermann and his brother). Löhr is best known today for songs like 'Where my caravan has rested'—which is guaranteed immortality by Jascha Heifetz's violin recording—and 'Little grey home in the West'.
