DIVE INTO THE IMMERSIVE WORLD OF ''EMOTIONAL STATES OF TECHNO'' Club culture provides us with many freedoms and possibilities. A manifesto and contemporary witness for club culture — our own safe space. «after dark» is a film and photo series shot by stini roehrs featuring a group of 40 berlin ravers that was produced by akkurat studios alongside the «we are not alone» vinyl compilation curated by ellen allien. A collaborative project giving a voice to the memories and moments that are created within club culture: real, unreal, timeless, futuristic, dark, mysterious, freaky, incomprehensible, unconventional and inclusive. Sweat, exchange, connection, growth/development, interdimension, exploration emotional states of techno in the club we get to know each other in ways that in few other places are possible. We exchange different ideas and perspectives that sometimes complement each other. And through this exchange we develop as human beings both mentally and spiritually. Going to the club can be seen as a ritual, a moment of emotional and mental relaxation, but also of deep introspection. Berlin is the night! A night that is there to let go, feel, sink in, escape, dance, rise, levitate. A place to be free! To be whoever you want to be, to spend a few hours away from the pressure of society. Time of togetherness, of where it is not important what you do or who you are. A place of tolerance, diversity, extravaganza and shy trance. A space for exhibitionism as well as anonymity. Everyone is ok here.
