Three ''different'' between each other musicians finally met passing through different as well as parallel musical paths.Nikos Tatasopoulos, a famous soloist and important contemporary virtuoso of ''Bouzouki'',(one of the most loved and popular instruments in Greece),famous also about his unique way of improvising on the instrument,a player who has performed along with many famous Greek artists,(son of the great soloist and composer of some of the most popular Greek songs,Giannis Tatasopoulos),Dimitris Mistakidis from Thessaloniki,an exceptional and authentic folk musician(folk guitar - lute) and singer of Rebetiko,who has performed and recorded with some of the most famous Greek bands,travelled around Greece and abroad,teacher of traditional Greek music (personal discography and books about music)Maria koti,a cretan originated folk-traditional singer, someone could discover a big influence of Rebetiko listenining to her voice and way of singing,famous about being a member of the band ''Chainides'',as frontwoman,as well as from her participation in the vocal ensemble'' Sanades'',with many performances along with famous Greek artists,in Greece and abroad and discography.These three musicians are consisting ''Trio'',an outstanding musical ensemble that performs selected popular folk melodies, songs and solos based on traditional motifs of ''Rebetiko'' but at the same time while keeping the simplicity and the authenticity of the old traditional sound, introducing a more contemporary and inspired from their own personal research and time way of interpretation . This important detail makes these melodies played by the ''Trio'' sound always fresh and essential ,never actually getting old..And this is probably one of the reasons why ''Trio'' has achieved much of its popularity..
