Originally released in October 1977, News of the World it is one of the best-selling Queen albums of all time. It opens with two of the band's most famous hits, Brian May's composition We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions from Freddie. Monumental stadium anthems that continue to be present at sporting events worldwide to this day. With songs written by all four members of the band, NOTW, Queen's sixth album, create a new standard in style diversity, from the proto-punk attack of Sheer Heart Attack from Roger Taylor, to the salacious rock funk of Get Down Make Love- even the tropical and fragrant pop calypso of Who Needs You. News of the World also includes the hit Spread Your Wings, the epic saga of It's Late and Freddie's romantic and nostalgic cut, My Melancholy Blues. The new package includes the original album on CD, plus two CDs with out-takes and rarities recently rescued from the band's archives, one of which is a new ‘alternative’ version of the full album called Raw Sessions. For many devotees of the band, this CD by Raw Sessions it will be the most surprising component of the new release. Taken from tapes stored for many years in the vault, this extraordinary parallel album brings to light never-before-heard alternative versions of each of the album's 11 tracks. Each lead vocal is different, as are most of the main guitar parts, and many other instrumental details. We will hear a new version of We Are The Champions with many unknown vocals and instrumentation elements, and, for the first time, in full long version, instead of the version released for the 1977 album. We will also have the opportunity to discover Freddie Mercury's voice at its best, in a track that no one outside of Queen's close circles had ever heard: All Dead, All Dead by Brian May; The original version of the album includes May's vocals. Sheer Heart Attack roger Taylor can be heard with a missing guitar introduction, and an uncut ending. Taylor's other song, Fight From The Inside, it is recognizable because his voice is heard in a demo he made in his home studio in preparation for the following sessions; ‘homework’ that all band members regularly did. As an additional note, Taylor plays all instruments on these two recordings, except for lead guitar. In this age of digital leaks and obsessive Fan culture, there is great excitement that these recordings are, even in 2017, truly new to the world. #queen #newsoftheworld #40thanniversary #collectorsedition #remixed #remastered #expanded #fullalbum #playlist #wewillrockyou #wearethechampions #1977 #2017
