Artist: Sakna Album: De Syv Dødssynder Re-Release Date: May 8th, 2024 Genre: Black Metal / Folk Metal / Dark Ambient http://www.myspace.com/saknaeternus https://sakna.bandcamp.com Mid 2000’s Folk/Melodic Black Metal one-man project Sakna was the brainchild of Canadian musician Solemn. Loosely inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, ‘De Syv Dødssynder’ is the culmination of his life’s work, as he would take his own life in March 2011 after the writing and recording of the album was completed. Over a decade since its original creation, Sakna’s sole full-length has been restored and remixed to completion. Like a time capsule, it offers a glimpse into one of the most musically intricate forgotten gems of Black Metal’s infamous history.
