This that real talk. “I Wish I Could Explain” a 18 song mixtape album by 16 year old Markell2timez real name “Malachi Khalil” is a project that goes thru his struggles hes had over the past 2 & a half years with Mental health, Loss/Grief, Heartbreak, Confidence/self worth, Regret, Anger and all things of that nature. A project dedicated to his late sister Desiree, His family and his city of Pontiac Michigan, Markell has definitely made sure to show his versatility as a artist and his growth as both a artist and human being. As Markell states “My goal is of course making beautiful art that represents me best i can. but one of my biggest concerns is to let people know there not alone in there struggles and hopefully by showing my experience it can help them get thru theirs” With songs like “Xienas Lullaby 3” “Where ever you are” & “Happily ever after” the conviction and vulnerability that is shown definitely seems to show the authenticity in this project. This is only the beginning for this young prodigy. with much more to come he likes to lable this a little showcase of what he is capable of. This is real art. And always remember.. Its deeper than music. its Life.
