'The Lonesome Cello' Live This playlist is a Live Performance of my latest CD album, released on 27/02/2020! This whole project started when I was in London end of may 2019, and a friend from Brazil appeared to be there aswell. I invited him over to my place to have a coffee, and after a while chatting, he told me he was into recordings! So immediatly we came to the idea to do a project together as I would be in Brazil in the summer of 2019. But nothing was decided yet. I had to come with a great repertory for cello solo, and I had to brainstorm a lot. First idea was of course the Complete Bach Cello Suites, but I felt I wasn't ready for this. Thinking and thinking, my girlfriend brought a light into my head: "Why don't you record the Kodaly Sonata? It sounds great when you played it for me!" Me, always being a very hesitative person, was in doubt...But I started anyway to remember the piece as I have played it several times and knew the music well. But hmmmmm...Not an easy task, but it was going well! Trying to find my inspiration listening to recordings, I came upon other great Cello Solo Works that I did not knew, like Serenade of Henze, Lutoslawski Sacher Variation and Sallinen's Elegia! So I came to a conclusion and said: "Let's do this!" After a lot of sweat, tears, long nights and some nights even without sleep. We archieved together this great recording and could not believe WE did this! So in October 2019 it was official: THE RECORDINGS ARE DONE! If it was not enough, I have decided to perform a Live Concert to present my work. which are the four videos in this playlist. Credits to Diego Crispim for the video and Gabriel Amaral for the audio! And I am very thrilled to share this with you! I hope you enjoy this journey together with me. If you want to get the album, you can find it on: https://ilialaporev.hearnow.com or you can find various links in my YouTube Channel or in the video description! You will find it!
