Pandit Chandrashekhar Vaze is a vocalist with a deep understanding of the "swara" as well the "laya". He also has an extremely good command of the vast subject of voice culture. He has developed his own style by blending tradition and knowledge with his experience and creativity. His performance definitely gives us a soothing feel of the rich Kirana legacy. But at the same time, the style of his "badhat" leaves a deep impression of his integrity towards "bhaav", "rasa" and "Swara". Adapting minute yet significant qualities of other gharanas gives his music a completeness of its own. Yet it seems that there is something new in each of his soulful renditions.
