Origins — released October 9, 2026. Origins brings back to life some of the earliest songs written by Alex Mari between 1998 and 2005, tracing their roots back to the O.D.U. and Ophiura years. Some of these songs were originally released on O.D.U.’s 2005 demo Sospiri Ancestrali and later on Ophiura’s 2007 EP Ancestral Whispers. Others were only ever performed live, in earlier Italian or English versions, while some had never been officially released at all. The album also features previously unreleased and more recent material. Rather than simply revisiting the past, Origins reshapes it. These songs have been re-recorded, rearranged and reimagined from a new artistic and personal perspective. A bridge between past and present, memory and rebirth, metal roots and cinematic vision.
