The debut album from eyepillow titled here has been released by Remember You Are Dreaming. It consists of eighteen genre-fluid electronic instrumentals, lo-fi vignettes, sonic illustrations of unknown places and experiences synthesized by the shadowy entity known only as William Labyrinth. Billy Mays III of RYAD commented on how the music came into his possession: “At the beginning of the pandemic, I met Mr. Labyrinth deep in the comments section of an obscure subreddit that I won’t name here. After months of casual back and forth throughout the isolation period, he learned that I’m the content director of this collective. He then said it was imperative that the audio finds its way to people’s ears, tasking me with the release plan and art direction.” Labyrinth himself had only the following sentiments to offer regarding the meaning behind his eyepillow pseudonym: “the pillow is a direct conduit to our dream state. it sees us when our guard is down. when our subconscious is exposed and bares all for the pillow to see, this anonymous cushion is our only true witness.” Recommended for fans of Four Tet, Telefon Tel Aviv, and Boards of Canada, here is streaming everywhere now.
