Beethoven unchained from today's focus 'industrial' focus and brought back to his historic roots as an experiment. The recordings in this playlist are based upon (early) 19th century Metronome Numbers, played according to the WBMP (Whole Beat Metronome Practice). This is the historical way the metronome was used, where the metronome ticks indicate the subdivision of the note value in the metronome mark. This way, all tempo historical indications, also the many hundreds if not thousand 'unplayable' ones become within human reach.
