#1. It must be the intro that makes WJMY & The Hilltoppers top performers with Marianne. WEXF Radio's Mama Loochie climbs to #2, thanks to Lee Diamond, and local Itzy records' fave on The Porky Album. Triple digits and WJWM's Mars beast...here's The Purple People Eater at #3. #4. Uncle Homer wrestles a bear and WEXF Radio scores big with Lonesome Fiddle Blues. With 2 Top 5 finishes, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and James W Myers snag a second award..with something called Wake Up Call. Myers also takes 6th place, offering the silky strains of Elvis, receiving a nod for crooning Are You Lonesome Tonight. #7. Jan and Arnie's recording of Jennie Lee made the '58 scene sizzle on WEXF Radio. After a plug by WEXF, Jerry Lee Lewis takes off with a Whole Lot Of Shakin' Goin' On. Heavy airplay makes it #8. Music arising out of Hawaii Calls on WEXF Radio shows, rounds out #9 & 10. Honorable mention should go to The Dells' At The Bandstand., an obscure James W Myers collaboration, and showcased by great video graphics. Awards cover videos composed thru 2016.
