This was Memory Wire’s first whole concert as sole artists. The ArtBeat Festival agreed to promote it, and it was Gaz Carnall who agreed to host it at his cafe Fingerprints, our regular Memory Wire meeting place. He hadn’t hosted music there before and didn’t know our work or genre, but made it happen with his enthusiasm and friendly help on the night. It was a special night and a full house. We really wanted to give him a recording of the music from the concert, but tragically, Gaz did not live to receive it. So it is with gratitude that we name this album after his cafe and dedicate the music to his memory.
