This is a broad selection of musical psychedelic trance in no particular order. The selection is not always strictly distinct from melodic psychedelic trance, but giving a good overview all the same. I'm looking forward to suggestions. Musical Psychedelic Trance is not a particular style of psychedelic trance in a classical sense, but what can be called a "meta genre". A piece of music which is classified as "Musical Psychedelic Trance" will very often also belong to any style of psychedelic trance. A big part of psychedelic trance artists of any style contribute to the meta genre at some point. Another meta genre is "Melodic Psychedelic Trance" which is distinct, because the majority of modern psychedelic trance of any style does not have melodies. Melodic Psychedelic Trance smoothly transitions into Musical Psychedelic Trance by increased degree of musical complexity. Musical Psychedelic Trance distinguishes itself by means of having two or more musically distinct parts, the use of chord progressions and/or leitmotif. Furthermore the "rhetoric" and general arrangements are more meaningful and with purpose, compared to melodic psychedelic trance, which is generally centered around a single melody mostly apparent only in the end of a piece of music. The difference between melodic psychedelic trance and musical psychedelic trance is like the difference between writing just one or two words compared to writing a whole sentence or paragraph. Most prominent with melodic psychedelic trance is classic goa trance aka oldschool goa.... #musical #psychedelic #trance #melodic #psytrance
