“I Like When Love Hurts” is an album by Lil Liar, this was announced on his instagram mid 2022, this is primarily produced by close friends OHMYGODPIXEL and VLX. I Like When Love Hurts, Pt. 1 is my first album fully written, produced, mixed and mastered by me (Lil Liar), OHMYGODPIXEL and Vlx. The making of this album started in August when Pixel had sent me the beat for I Like When Love Hurts, this inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and create music that was new to the genre I mess with while still keeping the alternative sound I have loved to create. I reached out to Vlx via instagram and Soundcloud after stumbling to his page after a Lil Peep remix of 4 Gold Chains of his played in my headphones in where he gladly agreed to help create the production of Rain in the sky and Why do you call now? After my first show (Dialtones 1) I spent a week in London with OHMYGODPIXEL where we produced and recorded The First I love You from scratch taking heavy inspiration from the Stranger Things soundtrack, while in London we got a one take video recorded on an old camera by Armzybam who we met after being invited by someone we met on our coach to this DJ party. The official artwork came together inspired after a date in June 2022 in where I took a picture of my new hearts and star tattoos bleeding which represents the theme of star crossed lovers from Romeo & Juliet. The project officially finsihed complete production this February 12th (2023) The album is based around my personal events and experiences of heart break, mental health struggles and substance abuse, this album comes from the purest of emotion and raw feelings and I hope that through this project people can relate and enjoy. The album went through many changes from artwork to tracklist until I finally settled on the seven tracks you are hearing today.
