This channel initially was a general youtube channel for video games and whatever things I could find. During 2010 especially, this channel changed to heavily focus on the House Music Sampling community microniche that explored sampling across the House genre. During this time the Jokestrap persona was developed, and some music was made, as well as "Sample Challenges", where one would make a song with a sample with the intention of having viewers guess the sample. Much of this early period is deeply experimental and unmusical, which has lead to me placing them separate in this playlist to differentiate from the later, more defined music/work made in the last 16 years. Some things are left public, out of this playlist due to overall quality relative to the rest, but this playlist is largely for archival purposes and to show the "old Jokestrap" prior to any formal training or education.
