Music in a Swimming Pool. A novel idea, but, nothing out of the ordinary, in Berlin. There is a certain 'buzz' about Picture Palace music. A 'buzz' I have not experienced since the early days of Tangerine Dream. So, a trip to Berlin in 2011 for the Swimming Pool Festival, and to meet Thorsten Quaeschning and his Colleagues. I was not disappointed, here is a band going places. The 2012 Festival was a revelation. On the back of three Schallwelle Awards, and with an all star lineup of EM bands, Picture Palace music were on fire. These, then are the highlights of those concerts, with grateful thanks to 'Q' for allowing me to film those historic gigs.
