∞ These are my favorite songs I ever wrote. NO live videos. NO music videos. Only recorded music ∞ ∞ It's difficult to choose though, so the list is quite long. I tend to hate any song I wrote which attempted to be something. These are the songs where I wasn't attempting anything. This is music for the sake of music ∞ ∞ There's a few that are only on this playlist for sentimental reasons, like the Ben one & the phony one I recorded with special people who've passed ∞ ∞ 99% of this playlist was me alone writing, playing, recording, mixing & mastering everything ∞ ∞ 99% of these I wrote & recorded in dungeons & basements & garages, cheap places with leaky roofs & bedbug infestations all across the southeast & California, Nashville, New Orleans & North Alabama. I got arrested by police a lot, robbed, mugged, concussions, floods, fires, etc. This is where this music is born, finding grace & beauty in suffering, strife & struggle ∞ ∞ I don't actually give a fuck about video. I do not enjoy the visual medium. I'm entirely audio-centric. I have one eye, and it's nearsighted with black blobs & feathery floaters. I could care less about video. Ain't that funny? ∞ ∞ Why YouTube, you ask? Well, if you all would just LISTEN, I wouldn't be making videos. I sure as hell wouldn't be cataloging my life in music, and wouldn't be self-aggrandizing. But I feel like my music is being actively suppressed. If you'd just listen, that'd be great. I'll quit with the videos. Just listen. Thanks. ∞ ∞ All my other playlists have a "shmooze," a "pitch" to "sell" you "content." It's phony bullshit. Art's not content. "Robert LaSalle music was on TV." Who cares? If you all just listened, I wouldn't be doing music for stupid TV shows ∞ ∞ Anyways, there's no phony pitch. This is my heart. It's not for sale. ∞ #i-am-the-anti-hashtag-hashtag in the #antisocialmedium
