Might you wonder why these have no min and max non-octave deviation stats in their descriptions : it's always 0¢ and 50¢ because even though cultures in which quarter tones are used might opt for a scale containing pitches picked among the 12 Western ones, there is no such scale in the list I'm going through to make these videos... As of 2025-07-25, only 9 scales remain to produce a video with, and 13 to 19 of the videos using the old presentation curiculum (those with a wider view of the keyboard in the picture) will have a remake done with which they'll be replaced... The playlist says 64 but the list of scales for which stats were added counts only 60 videos done and 9 to go, with the revamped edition of the list used to pick scales from (linked below) also counting 69 total scales... will have to check that discrepancy out once i'm done adding stats for the 100+ 31-EDO scales vids... Using my Browser-Based Isomorphic Hex Keyboard @ https://www.handsearseyes.fun/Ears/He... , I play different Quarter-Tones (24-EDO) scales up and down first, then in some cases I improvise a ~32 chords progression, and after that a melody which may last 30sec to 2-3min depending on how much the scale inspires me... In older videos I only play all the scale's intervals one by one then go through hexagonal patterns of up to 7-keys-away width...The scales were taken from the musical modes list found @ https://www.huygens-fokker.org/docs/m..., which is itself based on Scala's database of tunings... I have in my turn revamped this list to make it clearer and hold more info on each scales @ https://www.handsearseyes.fun/Ears/Re...
