Enjoy this great spread from one of my favorite Canadian record label families, Toronto's ARC/Yorkville Records. Shuffle For Best Results. Yorkville Records was started in late-1966 by ARC Records vice president Bill Gilliland. It began as Yorktown Records (exclusively releasing material by Toronto's "Ugly Ducklings") earlier that year before morphing into Yorkville. Here, some of Canada's finest burgeoning Psych/Rock talent released their defining works. Active from 1966-1974, Yorktown/Yorkville released nearly 100 singles and six albums.
