I just found a folder of live videos from my first show back from Covid. I was one of the first artists to have a show in LA. It was outside, and I remember seeing a lot of special people in my life for the first time in what felt like years... All of this had been made possible because I met someone named "Kyle," at a show of mine, who had a dream of hosting a show himself, with his dad's art direction, and it would be a special event he organized and I got to benefit from his vision. I had been jamming over at my friend, Austin's house that year and so naturally I wanted to incorporate him into my live performance. Austin would go on to play many if not most of the instruments on my next album, "New Girl," and it all started because we bonded during Covid over playing live music together. I miss those days of not worrying so much about making a living, and instead concentrating on the living part.
