Nanduri Venkatasubbarao (NS) is famous for his collection of romantic poetry. . He says the first of the poems came to him as he was travelling in the Madras Tram somewhere in 1917-1918. It was after the collection of about 35 such poems, the first edition of “Enki Pātalu” was published in 1925. Among the AIR Vijayawada radio programmes that were broadcast, we were fortunate enough to chance upon a radio programme, probably from the year 1955, in which Dr. Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna (BMK) together with Smt.
