Selected works of Gregorian Chant, performed on synth. Various synths will feature in this playlist, but primary focus will be with the Vermona '14 monosynth (the tone works very well for Gregorian Chant). Initial output will focus on selected works by Hildegard von Bingen, after which I'll visit various other composers. Unlike my 'Synth & Medieval' playlist, this playlist will focus exclusively on solo monophonic works/performances. Part of the nature of Gregorian Chant is a relatively free rhythm; part of the problem of studying/learning/performing Gregorian Chant is reading Medieval notation. To avoid this for others who may be interested in performing these pieces: all of the works in this playlist I've scored in standard notation; once the volume of pieces is high enough, I'll perhaps release a book of Gregorian Chant in standard notation (which will consist of the works uploaded here), which synth players/solo instrumentalists etc could use. Being monophonic music, Gregorian Chant is perfectly suited for monosynth.
