Peter Marsh recorded with Vangelis in the 1980s and became one of a very few vocalists to release a single in collaboration with Vangelis. The single 'Don't Be Foolish' (B side 'Doesn't Matter') was released in 1980. Don't Be Foolish was a BBC Radio 1 'Record of the Week' and Peter Marsh and Vangelis were scheduled to appear live on 'Top of the Pops'. However, the programme was cancelled due to a musician's union strike in 1980. Ironically, although the musician union strikes which prevented broadcast of Top of the Pops later in the 1980s focused on the issue of synthesisers - Peter Marsh also featured as a vocalist on some of the tracks on the Vangelis album, 'See You Later', also released in 1980.
