To quote Rob Gordon, played by John Cusack in the fantastic 2000 rom-com High Fidelity: “The making of a good compilation tape is a very subtle art with many dos and don’ts”. We’ve been studying Rob's technique here at Scour HQ and think we’ve got it pretty much nailed in ‘Freemixed Nuts Volume 6'. “You’ve gotta kick it off with a killer to grab attention, then you’ve got to take it up a notch.” Thanks Rob – that’s easy, with Beat Le Juice, Kibosh, Tuxedo Junction, Vancara & Bright Idea, Liberty Chaps, Skank Spinatra, Mr Stabalina & WBBL, aaaand TWOGOOD all involved, we’ll be hoarding all your attention from the outset, taking it up several notches as we build through the tempo. Rob continues: “But you don’t wanna blow your wad so then you gotta cool it off a notch.” Ah shucks, we we’re doing so well – but blowing wads is Mr Stabalina’s speciality – oh well, we were almost there! Your nuts have finally dropped..grab 'em, play with them, aaaand enjoy!
