Dan Delaney piano & Mark Carlsen bass

Here is a compilation of a 2 day recording session with a dear friend and fellow Bostonian Mark Carlsen when we connected during his time in Arizona in March 2024. What a wonderful musical connection we had. Mark was playing with Tommy Dorsey Orchestra back in the day in the 80's when I would call him to work and we were happy to see after all these years our time had come and boy did it.. Fantastic musical connection and loads of laughs. Like reflecting through over 40 yrs of Boson history we know all the same people. this was also very special as I was preparing to launch my BACK ROOM Sessions recording live in my home and Mark helped me get a feel as he was the first bass player to play in the house in my piano space.. The rest is History! Enjoyed so much that I have built a commitment around doing just this on a regular basis. Hope to get Mark back for some more playing in the future. ENJOY the cool tunes we spontaneously chose to play together.
