1903年、米コロムビアが来日し、レコーディングを行った。原盤はアメリカに持ち帰られ、アメリカでレコードが作られた。これを日本に輸出し、販売した。日本国内で販売するにあたり、天賞堂が販売代理店となった。その後、三光堂も販売代理店になった。　　　　　In 1903, American Columbia came to Japan and made a recording. The masters were brought back to the U.S. and records were made in the U.S. It was exported to Japan and sold. Tenshodo became the sales agent for sales in Japan. Later, Sankodo also became a sales agent.
