DOWNLOAD/STREAM HERE: https://li.sten.to/INN103 The incredible Motiv marks his freshman Innerground appearance with ‘Industrial Funk EP’. Hailing from Manchester, the diverse producer is hot off the heels of his debut LP ‘Meraki Music’ on Co-Lab Recordings last month. The title track ‘Industrial Funk’ boldly sets the tone of what’s in store with this EP. Rhythmic bass plucks intertwine with metallic glitchy breaks to create a world of futuristic funky grooves. ‘Slipped’ continues on this voyage, floating through otherworldly synths and echoing vocals peppered with funky guitar strums. Incredible energy! On the penultimate track, ‘Sunglasses’, Motiv is joined by regular collaborator Surreal. The Frankfurt based producer has linked with Motiv on multiple occasions and it’s clear to see why – Sunglasses maintains the funk of the previous tracks with the addition of faster breaks and dream-like vocals. ‘Set Me Free’ concludes the EP, featuring vocals from D&B household name Collette Warren. Rapid breaks and choppy filtered synths are the perfect partners under Collette’s enchanting bittersweet harmonies to seal a sensationally groovy D&B EP!
