Out on Zatar Music, this release brings together some of the most exciting names in deep house and electronic music, breathing new life into this iconic track.Phonique first encountered Erlend Øye’s voice in 2003 when he received a promo of a Morgan Geist track featuring the Norwegian artist. Instantly captivated, he soon discovered Øye’s extensive musical background, including his work with Kings of Convenience and his unforgettable vocals on Röyksopp’s 'Poor Leno' and 'Remind Me'.A chance connection through their mutual friend Annie led to Phonique and Øye meeting in Berlin, sparking a musical friendship that resulted in collaborations such as the Erlend Øye DJ-Kicks mix and the much-loved 'For The Time Being'. As Øye was forming The Whitest Boy Alive, he and Phonique continued to jam together, and ‘Casualities’ was born, finding its place on 'Good Idea' in 2007. To complete the full-circle moment, Morgan Geist was invited to remix the track for the original 12” release. Now the new release assembles the best remixes of 'Casualities' including two brand-new reworks by GRIFE & Albuquerque and Nacho Varela & Cruz Vittor.
