Daniel Ratelle conducts the New City Sinfonia of San Diego, CA. Saturday, November 9, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. Paradise Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church. About this recording... Usually, these recordings are done with automatic sound leveling, meaning the microphone automatically increases the volume of the soft parts and lowers the volume of the loud parts. For this recording, that feature was turned off -- no sound leveling. Recording sensitivity was set to one consistent level for the entire concert using a high quality external mic. The result is that you will experience more dynamic variation. There is also no sound enhancement this time to make the sound more brilliant or to have more fullness. What you hear is the natural sound we produced.
