Roman ‘ Impish ’ is one of the more recent names to emerge from the hotbed of Russian Drum 'N' Bass. The Moscow based producer and DJ has been releasing records since 2008, and has since put his name to tracks on some of the biggest labels in the scene. Initially interested in funk, rock and alternative metal, as soon as he found Drum & Bass he was immediately captivated by the sound and has since mostly focused his music writing around it, releasing a tranche of singles and an album on his own ‘ Occulti Music ’ label, as well as with a raft of others. Occulti Music also runs ‘ Burning Series ’ – a monthly D+B / Breakbeat night famous since 2003 in Russia for its homely atmosphere and vinyl sets.
