Abatuuze" is a word from Uganda's Luganda language that loosely translates to "inhabitants of the land." This album draws inspiration from the lived experiences of Africans both on the continent and in the diaspora, exploring their impact on individuals and diverse communities. The artworks are AI hybrid versions of the original album artworks and are 360° captures from Virtual Reality that will be part of upcoming exhibitions. The project features a Kora player from The Gambia, Yahya Sonko and produced by J.C Muyonjo. This project is in partnership with @africanofilter, a donor collaborative working to shift stereotypical narratives within and about Africa by supporting the development of nuanced and contemporary stories.
