12 Madonna faves with an emphasis on the torch/sad love side of M's output. While there are at least 8 straight dance tracks here, contemplativeness and slightly agonized beauty for its own sake has the upper hand. I tend to think that M's fans would reward her for constructing a 'torchy dance' setlist like this one for her concerts (and that no one really needs or likes her recent born-again teenage stuff). [Note that I've carefully selected what I take to be the optimal versions of things, sometimes that's an extended dance mix, sometimes the singles mix and sometimes the album mix. I don't take my preferences to be eccentric - if you look at the comments under a lot of the vids in the list you'll see a lot of '*This* is the best version'-type remarks.]
