Many people know Zappacosta as a rock icon from the eighties and then there are fans who identify with his Smooth Jazz styling that he has been delivering live and on CD for the last 15 years. But what most people don't comprehend is that Zappacosta underneath it all...is a singer/songwriter of the highest caliber. With a massive catalog of well over 200 songs, Zappacosta true art is in his words. If you dig into his lyrics, you will learn of his life and his take on relationships. Some songs portray his real life experience and others were drawn from muses on his journeys throughout his life. All but seven songs on his thirteen recordings have been written or co-written by Alfie many of them delivered from his acoustic guitar...in essence...he is songwriter first and an artist second. This playlist is a presentation of Zappacosta songs stripped down and presented by Alfie as a duo. It is a raw and insightful look at the man and his music.
