Well, I finally got to go back home to NYC with God's blessing. I got to stay in NYC for a year - I guess God wanted me to recover from the awful times I was going through where He had put me previously. God, however, was laying it on my heart that I wasn't going to stay back home. I was going to move somewhere else. So the opportunity came and I just came back from another state. I have to say, that I really *love* where I'm moving to. The house I prayed for was more than I asked for: by a lake in a beautiful and quiet community (which also has it's own community pool - I won't have to maintain it myself!), with large rooms and open concept kitchen/dining room/living room (referred to as a great room). It has travertine tile floors on the first floor and wood floors on the second. It has exposed brick facing and wood ceilings in the great room, with a very rustic european flavor to it all. I *love* it. And I love the state that I'm moving to. I'm a little apprehensive because God might throw me another curve ball and I may end up having to face some sort of trial or tribulation again, but maybe not. The thing is, when you've committed yourself to follow Jesus and become a Christian, you really do have to count the costs (Luke 14:25-33) as the Bible says you should, because Jesus knew there would be sacrifices you have to make and He didn't want you to have false expectations about following Him. Nevertheless, I really like God and I want to be with Him no matter what happens to me. While I was looking for a house, this song kept playing a whole lot on the car radio and it really expresses my commitment to being with God. It is true what the lyrics say, ♪♫♬When I am with You, there's no place I'd rather be....♬♫♪
