Back2School: Freshman Year tells the story of an artist returning to school after pursuing his music career in the city. After experiencing life’s downfalls and riding its rollercoaster, he discovers a new perspective—reconnecting with society, feeling human again, and grounding himself through the everyday rhythm of school life. The project carries a fresh sound, influenced by the music he absorbed during four months back home in Argao. The first three tracks reflect the remnants of summer, like a lingering hangover even while already in the city. From the fourth to the ninth track, reality takes over—capturing the chaos, the fun, and the pressures that come with being inside a system. Yet, he knows how to ride the wave while embracing his lifestyle, because for him, there’s no reason not to. From the 10th to the 12th track, he can’t help but feel a sense of longing for his life before—waking up each day just to create, with no deadlines, no pressure, and the freedom of simply being himself. Yet by the 12th track, those memories and that past lifestyle are transformed into inspiration—a driving force to face the phase he’s in now and fully embrace it. It’s a way of preparing for the next chapter, growing with it, and moving forward without regret.
