Djunya

Educator, Producer, Sound Designer, Joseph Jr. also known as DJUNYA, is an electronic music producer, sound designer, & educator. DJUNYA started composing music at a very young age after falling in love with percussion and piano. He continued to pursue his love for all types of music by studying west african percussion, analog synthesizers, & digital audio software. DJUNYA began DJ’ing primarily Drum & Bass in 1999. Following that period he was one of the early US producer’s to adopt the UK born Dubstep sound. He was quickly noticed for his ability to produce & program unique mixes. DJUNYA has headlined and performed live sets at various festivals, events, clubs, internet & FM radio stations. DJUNYA’s sound palette is ever expanding as he currently has been teaching and building analog modular synths to create original soundscapes and otherworldly sounds. He continues to work with artists, producers, and traditional musicians from around the globe while directing the digital audio program at Wasatch Academy.
