Alicios

Alicios is a Congolese singer-songwriter whose music blends Congolese rumba, Afropop, R&B, Afro-zouk, and East African influences. Born in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, she rose to prominence with her hit "Mpita Njia" featuring Ugandan star Juliana Kanyomozi, followed by solo projects ''Niko poa'' and ''posa ya bolingo''. Following the outbreak of war in eastern DRC, Alicios and her family settled in Nairobi, Kenya, before she later moved to Sweden, where she is now based. Her multicultural journey has shaped a unique sound and songwriting style that explores themes of love, identity, migration, and empowerment. Over the years, she has collaborated with renowned African artists including José Chameleone, Christian Bella, Kidum, Juliana Kanyomozi, Lady Jaydee and most recently, Congolese singer Ninita on the reimagined version of "Nideke".
