The American alternative rock band Vices I Admire hails from Denver, Colorado. In 2002, a group of school buddies from Colorado State University came together over their mutual love of music. What resulted was one of the better bands to ever originate from Colorado. Current band members include Dave Curtis (vocals, guitar), Alex Simpson (drums, vocals) and Dan Battenhouse (bass, vocals), formerly of the highly successful band, The Fray. They decided to handle all of their recording, production, marketing, and promotion by themselves as to not be influenced by outside management. The band's debut album, “Plan B”, was released in 2005. The album's title was selected as a tribute to the band's original name Plan B, which was changed to avoid possible legal entanglements. The album was a moderate commercial success in the Colorado region, however, the critics loved the band's unique blend of rock, folk, funk, and hip-hop and they were initially compared to groups like the Foo Fighters. After the departure of a couple of founding members, the band was ready to go forward with the release of its second album entitled “The Politics of Apathy” (2009). The album was recorded on the CSU campus and contained the well received singles "Sweetest Girl" and "Kiss Kiss”. In 2013 they recorded their last LP “Fables”.
