baozi

baozi is a 24-year-old French singer-songwriter and producer from Hong Kong. Introduced to music through violin and piano, she began producing as a teenager and launched her first solo project, g y l s, at 14, earning placements on Asian editorial playlists including “我的微醺夜” (“My Relaxing Evening”). After moving to Paris to study design, she created baozi alongside her partner and producer, shaping a more intimate artistic identity. Following Blue (2022) and Camera (2023), she developed a cinematic sound blending house, techno, and alternative pop. Her debut EP, Overstepped (2025), explores anxiety, dissociation, and vulnerability through immersive electronic production and soft vocals. In 2026, a return to China and Hong Kong inspired a second EP focused on nostalgia, childhood, and entering adulthood. Through music, visuals, and storytelling, baozi builds an intimate yet danceable universe influenced by French Touch, textured production, and emotionally driven songwriting.
