Waking Grunt

Amit Jaiwant Naik, better known by his stage name WAKING GRUNT, is a Rapper, Singer, Lyricists from Goa, India. Waking Grunt (WG) is mainly known for his songs from their YouTube channel which are focused on social issues and real life struggles. His music can be found on all digital platforms, and he has over a hundred music videos on YouTube. 'Waking Grunt' notably contributed to the Swapnil Shetkar's Konkani Film Questao De Confusao with his promotional song. He has also collaborated with Film Director Milroy Goes for the ‘Welcome Millions’ movie which featured a snippet of khaddyaan Podlo; WG’s Konkani parody song. The said movie was premiered in Los Angeles, USA and also contested at 91st Academy Awards. WG contributed to John D’silva’s movie ‘Pedru Poder’ with his end credits song. Some of his famous tracks are “Lofde” “Mog Jala Maka” and “Wifi Connection” “Ami Goenkar”, “Zai Tuzo Mog” etc Waking Grunt was felicitated with the “Industry’s No 1” Award at the Herald Global GoalFest Conclave 2023. Apart from his involvement in music, WG has also worked as Junior Mining Engineer and even as Sub-Editor for Prudent Media & Prime TV Goa
