Yuni Wa, born Princeton Coleman, emerged from the inner city of Little Rock, Arkansas, with a creative vision shaped by both his environment and the limitless possibilities of the internet. Growing up during the rise of online music culture in the late 2000s, he was deeply inspired by boundary pushing artists such as Flying Lotus and Daft Punk, influences that helped define his genre-blurring approach to music. Yuni Wa began releasing music in 2013 at just 15 years old, quickly establishing himself through an ambitious and constantly evolving catalog. Since then, Yuni Wa has released more than 35 projects spanning electronica, hip-hop, lo-fi, jazz, and alternative music. Early releases such as Ethereal Lover, Data_Our Program Is Forever, and Context 2 became defining works in his discography, each surpassing one million streams worldwide and helping solidify his reputation as one of the most prolific music artists emerging from the American South. In 2021, Yuni Wa was invited to perform for Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Live series and was featured on the cover of the Amazon Breakthrough Electronic playlist. In 2022, Yuni Wa performed at Electronicon 3 in New York alongside artists including Washed Out, George Clanton, and Skylar Spence. The following year, he appeared at FORMAT Festival in Bentonville, Arkansas, sharing the lineup with acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, and Jamie xx. He received the award for Best Male EDM Artist at the 2025 Arkansas Music Awards.
