ItsYaBoyCarr

Carr has been making substantial noise in the city of San Jose since his arrival in 2022. After hearing about Yonex Jones through one of the famous Yonton Soup Pokemon cards, he began coming to the Tankshop open mic every week. In January it was decided that Carr would assist Noah Jones (Yon’s brother) in hosting the open mic night. This beginning is what kickstarted Carr’s involvement with the shop and today he’s quickly become a key player on the TANKSHIT team! “San Jose based artist, ItsYaBoyCarr, has been making waves in the underground rap scene at the bottom of the bay for the past two years. Originally from New Bedford, a small city near Boston, Carr has claimed San Jose as his home for his career in music. Taking his east coast roots and mixing it with west coast influence, Carr has cultivated a new sound for the underground Bay Area rap scene.” - Spotify Since his first EP release in 2021 “Year of the Ox” Carr has gone on to release his first 12 track album in 2023 titled “Carrtoon Network” which he has sold over 500 physical copies of. Looking beyond the album, Carr is focused on providing new and exciting tracks for his audience this year with singles like “Say So” dropping on all streaming platforms this summer!
