My name is João Caminata and I am a piano composer from Madeira, Portugal. Currently based in Croatia, I moved out of my hometown in search of expression and connection through music. The piano only appeared in my life in my early 20's. Before that there was hip-hop, indie and rock. I grew up listening to artists like Linkin Park, The Fray, Simple Plan, Eminem.. In fact, I really wanted to be a rapper. I spent hours just memorizing lyrics and singing and feeling I was 'cool'. After giving up on becoming the best hip-hop artist ever (for now) , I started to learn piano by watching videos on Youtube and soon started to compose my own songs. My piano compositions are a direct reflection of who I am. They express my soul, and I intend to leave nothing behind with the time I have here as a human being. Thank you. 'I am love. I am life.
