Levixone blends worship, reggae, and Afro-fusion into a distinctive sound that bridges street reality with faith-driven hope. Rising from the slums of Kosovo in Kampala, he grew through community performances and early studio sessions into major concerts, regional collaborations, and one of East Africa’s leading Gospel voices. Born Sam Lucas Lubyogo in 1992, his early life included time on the streets after leaving home. A community charity helped him return to school, where he joined a church choir and began developing his musical talent. Influenced by local Gospel pioneers, he shaped a style rooted in reggae and Afro-fusion. He began recording in his teens, gradually building a following. His breakthrough came with “Nonya Omu,” which introduced him to a wider audience, followed by songs like “Turn the Replay” and “Chikibombe,” expanding his reach across Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and internationally including the UK, U.S., Canada, and Colombia. Levixone has since performed at global Gospel stages, collaborated with both local and international artists, and earned award nominations and wins. His consistency, testimony, and strong connection to young audiences continue to define his influence across Gospel and mainstream spaces.
