Transvision Vamp are an English pop rock band, formed on Ladbroke Grove in London in 1986 by guitarist and principle songwriter Nick Christian Sayer and lead vocalist Wendy James. Popular during the late 1980s, the band had 10 hits on the UK singles charts and also enjoyed considerable success in Australia. Their biggest hits were "I Want Your Love" from their debut studio album Pop Art and "Baby I Don't Care" from their second studio album Velveteen, which was their most successful album, reaching No. 1 in the UK and No. 2 in Australia. During this time, James attracted much media attention with her sexually charged and rebellious image. The band broke-up in 1992, and reformed in 2025.
