Born in Yucca Valley, California, and raised in the picturesque mountains of Red River, NM, Amanda Kate Ferris was destined for the gypsy road life, having moved more than thirty-eight times by the time she turned 16. From bar stools to church pews, Ferris and her mother performed wherever they were given the opportunity. Following in her mother's footsteps, the allure of the honky-tonk lifestyle led Ferris to Nashville, where she experienced the industry rollercoaster of late-night jam sessions, hard-earned victories, and humbling lessons from setbacks. In early 2018, her mother's diagnosis of stage four terminal lung cancer brought them back together on a musical project that captured their mutual love for music and life's fleeting moments. The outcome -- an album aptly named Time, which is a tribute to the significance of cherishing every passing second. Making the most of every moment, Ferris has been touring the country, recently sharing the stage with country music superstars Tracy Lawrence, Josh Abbott Band, Priscilla Block, and Warren Zeiders, which caught the attention of producer Jimmy Ritchey, who's renowned for his collaborations with artists such as Clay Walker and Mark Chesnutt. Ritchey brought Ferris' vision to life in her current EP, Pedal Steel, which was released March 10, 2023 and garnered attention from CMT, Cowboy Lifestyles, and more. The title track currently sits at #7 on Texas Country Radio.
