Teo Milea

With an impressive number of more than 400 concerts in the area of classical music, presented on the national and international stages, in 2012 Teo Milea starts to play in a different tune. From the first concert with his own compositions, he manages to become a true gauge of the neo-classical and crossover genre. His bubbling enthusiasm, which attracts a young audience, becomes an own and renown trademark of his sold-out concerts. Energy spurts out of his piano, creating dozens of colored bursting moods. It fills up the empty, it brings out the smile, leading us towards new, unexplored worlds. Teo Milea collaborated with The Opera of Vienna, he was invited to perform on the stage of The International Jazz Festival Garana, The International Festival „Altres Musiques” Benicassim, The Classical Theatre Arad. He is the first pianist in the world invited to play his own music at the NATO headquarters in Brussels and even more, the first pianist to mount on the stage of The International Ballet Festival in Dortmund, interpreting his work. The quality and clearness of his piano music made Teo Milea an “on air” presence in radio stations from Romania, France and the United States, while the nominations and top chart positions acknowledge him as a complete artist, who lives to enchant his audience. Recently relocated in Canada, Teo Milea has, again, an impressing impact, with a sold-out concert at his debut in Toronto. Instantly, effortless, he pins his image on the map of his new adoptive city, motivating the Romanian media to assess: “ageless young man, musically wiser than centuries, artist of gestures, with an exquisitely particular charisma, in one-hour recital. ” (M. Manea, Romanian Journalist) His latest album, Open Minds, has already been spotted by international radio stations (Orchestral Radio Paris, Radio Tunes Solo Piano US, SoloPiano.com Radio US, Radio Romania International, Radio Romania Cultural) and it has won '2015 Classical Album of the Year" on SoloPiano.com Radio; only one year ago, his debut album, On white…and black keys, occupied the 2nd place in the same top. The critics describe his new discography material as “that type of record that flows smoothly and charming; the songs on Open Minds reveal a sensitive music, which conquers a little bit of the positive side of every little man on this planet” (Z. Varga). “He doesn’t play the piano, he interprets with his entire being, beyond the extraordinary music streaming from his fingers. The way his whole body tells the story of his songs is beyond words.” (A. Demirgian) Discovering Teo Milea`s music is love at first note. You will always come back to his acoustic notes for a little bit more of his musical cure. Listen to his music, it is the perfect soundtrack for your life.
