Acidclank is the solo project of Japan-based trackmaker, singer-songwriter, and modular synthesist Yota Mori. Performing in two distinct formats—an intricate, improvisational Solo Set centered around IDM, drill’n’bass, and techno, and a powerful Band Set featuring a six-piece lineup including ex-NUMBER GIRL bassist Kentaro Nakao and MPC player MPC USAGI GIRL—Acidclank explores the boundaries of electronic expression. In 2021 and 2022, Acidclank performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL with the Band Set, leaving a lasting impression with a genre-defying performance at the RED MARQUEE stage in 2022. In 2023, Acidclank brought the Solo Set to TFoM (Tokyo Festival of Modular), marking a significant presence at the forefront of Japan’s modular synth scene. February 2025 saw the release of the long-awaited new album “In Dissolve” on P-VINE Records—a sonic landscape full of originality that continues to captivate listeners and assert Acidclank’s unique position in the Japanese electronic scene.
