That's how he became interested in Haitian popular music, particularly compas, and created the Mini Brothers, a neighborhood mini-jazz band. In the 1980s, he created the legendary group Zèklè with the Widmaier brothers. But before Zèklè, Ti Ra could be found in DP Express alongside the legendary singer Ti Manno. In 1985, Ti Ra released his first album Mizikasyon containing the hit song Sukaïna, his daughter's name. This song crossed the borders of Haiti and was covered by numerous artists who often ignored its origin. After several years of career as a keyboardist, Ti Ra released his double project Raouleman & Poussière de lune, the project that crowns his fifty-year career. Ti Ra also distinguished himself as a committed artist, contributing to the emergence of many Haitian artists
